Hi, I am Elizabeth.

You can call my Liz, or Lizzy or Bizzy! I answer to many names. There are many parts to my story but you probably don't have the time to hear them all (especially if you have a little person keeping you on your toes and off your device). This section is hopefully a little something to put you at ease. I feel that photography can make people vulnerable, as they are in a position when they truly must let down their guard, let everything go and just be present in the moment. This vulnerability allows me to document the intimate connection you share with your family and loved ones. It is something that is unique and so very significant when I am working with you. It is the difference between nice photos and truly treasured photographs. I WANT to make this connection with you. I NEED you to feel at ease. I HOPE that every single client finishes their session with a big smile, a full heart and tired feet and that we walk back to our cars saying wow, that was incredible. I want the entire experience to be something you recall fondly. Something you are pleased you did with your family, and something that holds significance in your lives for many years to come. I truly believe that what I do is important. It is worth the investment, the time and the effort. So when you book with me, I can promise I will give it everything I have. I hope that you can simply PLAY with your family. Hold their gaze, feel their touch, listen to their sharing and be absolutely present for that person you love so dearly. I promise to catch it all.

This is my why.

In the year 2020, when home on maternity leave with my second born son, I learned more than anything, that photography is an inextricable part of who I am. It is not just something I do, it is not just a hobby, it is not just a way to make money. It is a significant portion of who I am and without it, I feel incomplete. And so, my business is branded with my name. Not because I own it, but because it IS me.

My why is my family- my husband and my two beautiful boys. My children offered me the opportunity to practice on a daily basis, they are the most incredibly beautiful muses I could hope for (keep an eye out for them in my feed). I have been learning and learning since 2013 when I first started my business, however my most significant growth has been since my boys were born. As a mother, I viewed the relationships shared in families differently since this time. I could better see love, connection and the energy flowing between all parts of a family. This is why I adore capturing families, the special and the everyday, being witness to the complex and beautiful relationships shared between each member of that family unit is an honour to document. A privilege for which I am so grateful. I am so humbled you have chosen me to document your family. I cannot wait to meet you and will personally look forward to spending a lifetime taking and sharing beautiful photographs.

Thank you, Love Liz

PS. A little extra fact, while I am a photographer, I am primarily an academic and clinician! I am actually a lecturer in the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Sydney. My PhD was in sleep medicine and I hold research grants in clinical trials and translational research investigating obesity management and sleep. I am an accredited practicing exercise physiologist and nutritionist and still maintain a patient load while teaching and researching. This is why I am limited in my availability. I promise I will do my best to fit your family in and I promise all my clients, I will deliver your photographs in a timely manner.

“We couldn't have asked for a better experience! You conducted the entire shoot with such charisma and ease that both my husband and I, who can often feel awkward in front of a camera, felt incredibly comfortable to be ourselves and not feel staged. Most importantly, I loved that Luna was encouraged to explore as she pleased, which kept her a happy baby for the duration of the shoot as well as resulted in such gorgeous naturally captured moments! I also appreciated the efficient use of sunlight!”
