I primarily photograph families, from the time a baby is carried in a mother's womb, through the early days of having a newborn and through the passage of time as families and children grow. I am a candid and natural photographer, meaning I don't like to pose things too much. I don't really use props or studios, but I do provide direction as needed and prefer to be lead by children as they explore and play.

I have photographed for many years in many challenging settings- spending a great amount of time photographing fast moving performers in very dark settings. This has taught me a different way of using light in my work, and ensured I have the skills to work with any light I am faced with.

My portfolio showcases my versatility and the organic approach I take to my photography. I use three key elements when selecting a location: water, foliage and sun. When choosing your spot, have a browse through these galleries and think about what you are drawn to - jungle, grass or water. Based on your preferences and child(ren)'s age(s), I will make recommendations for the time of day and location based on spots I have carefully selected and practiced in.
